IRONCLAD BEETLE Zopherid w MANTISPIDAE Larvae Attached BALTIC AMBER 2775

Baltic amber stone with fossil insect - rare ironclad beetle Colydiidae, Zopheridae probably Coxelus with some strange unknown very small larvae on it abdomen, probably Mantispidae. This type larvae known as spider parasite but in some internal group they may also be related to Coleoptera.

It weighs 2.1 grams. Measurements of stone 26x13x8mm, length of insect body and head ~ 2.5mm.
